Ausgerichtet an den Wünschen von semiprofessionellen Musikern, Heim- oder Projekt-Studio-Besitzern sowie Songwritern und Live-Musikern bietet der MO authentische Klänge und umfassende Workstation-Funktionen. Alles mit einem starken Blick auf zeitgemäße Sounds und Styles. Er enthält viele moderne Musik-Produktions-Tools wie einen Song/Pattern-Sequencer oder eine ausgefuchsten Arpeggiator mit über 1.700 Phrasen. Der MO fügt sich darüber hinaus nahtlos in ein Computer-gestützte Musik-Produktions-Umgebung ein - so bietet er spezielle Tasten zur Fernbedienung von Sequencer-Softwares und ist kompatibel zum Studio-Connections-System. Dank seiner kompakten und damit durchaus transportablen Ausmaße ist der MO auch das ideale Keyboard für Live-Performances. Es gibt ihn in zwei Ausführungen: Als MO6 mit 61 Tasten und als MO8 mit 88 gewichteten Tasten und der gleichen Tastatur-Technik wie im Yamaha S90 ES.
